Meer dan 1000 lege flessen voor Stichting Ga 4 Ghana!

Terugkomviering, Sobere Maaltijd en Lege Flessen

Op zondag 6 juni 2010 vond de terugkomviering plaats van de communicantjes uit groep 4 van de Martinuskerk in Hillegom. Laureen, Suzanne en Nienke van Stichting Ga4Ghana waren hierbij aanwezig.

 De communicantjes zijn sinds maart bezig met een Goede Doelen Project. Ze hebben hiervoor meer dan 1000 lege statiegeldflessen verzameld en ingeleverd voor Stichting Ga4Ghana. Op 3 maart 2010 vond er in de Martinuskerk in Hillegom een sobere maaltijd plaats. De kosten die mensen uitspaarden door het nuttigen van deze maaltijd, en het opgehaalde statiegeld, zijn tijdens de terugkomviering aan Stichting Ga4Ghana overhandigd middels een spaarpot gevuld met 642,81 euro!!!

 Hiermee kan Stichting Ga4Ghana bij 2 basisscholen in Wli elektriciteitsmeters en electriciteitspalen aanschaffen. Zo kunnen leerlingen, maar ook ouders, binnenkort ook in de avonden les krijgen of cursussen volgen. Naar verwachting worden de meters en palen deze zomer nog geïnstalleerd door het Ghanese electriciteitsbedrijf!

 Namens de kinderen in Wli zijn wij alle communicantjes van de Martinuskerk in Hillegom heel erg dankbaar voor hun enorme inzet en steun aan Stichting Ga4Ghana! Tevens zijn wij iedereen dankbaar die aan dit Goede Doelen Project heeft bijgedragen.

More than a 1000 empty bottles for the Ga4Ghana foundation

Return celebration, Sober Meal and Empty bottles

On Sunday June 6th was the return for the children of Grade 3 who are doing their first communion in the Martinuskerk in Hillegom. Laureen, Suzanne and Nienke from the Ga4Ghana Foundation where present.

The students have been busy since March with their Good Causes Project. They collected more than a 1000 empty bottles for our foundation. On March 3^rd their was also a Sober Meal for all the members of the church, the costs being saved by this meal are put together with the money collected by the empty bottles and during the return celebration on June 6^th handed over to the Ga4Ghana Foundation. The total ended up being €642,81!!

The Ga4Ghana foundation can buy electricity polls and meters for the two primary schools in Wli. This way the students, and their parents, can have extra education, or follow a course, at night. We expect that the electricity will be installed this summer by the Ghanaian electricity company.

On behave of the children in Wli we would like to thank all the children in the Martinus church, who did their first communion, for their input and hard work. We would also like to thank everybody who helped with the Good Causes Project.
