Sobere maaltijd voor Ga4Ghana

Op woensdag 3 maart hebben de communicantjes uit groep 4 samen met hun ouders, Suzanne, Martijn en Laureen van Stichting Ga4Ghana, een sobere maaltijd genuttigd in de Martinuskerk in Hillegom. In totaal waren er ruim 108 mensen aanwezig!

Op deze avond tijdens de Veertigdagentijd, de veertig dagen voor Pasen, werd stil gestaan bij de minder bedeelden in deze wereld. Om de verbondenheid te tonen werd in plaats van een gewone warme maaltijd een sobere rijstmaaltijd zonder vlees genuttigd.

De kosten die mensen uitspaarden door het nuttigen van deze maaltijd in de kerk, werden geschonken aan het "Kindergarten Project" van Stichting Ga4Ghana. Op zondag 6 juni zal Stichting Ga4Ghana op de terugkomviering in de Martinuskerk een cheque in ontvangst nemen van deze avond en de statiegeldflessenactie.

Het team van Stichting Ga4Ghana is ontroerd door dit mooie initiatief en ontzettend dankbaar voor deze mooie actie!

Sober meal for Ga4Ghana

On Wednesday, March 3rd, the little communicants from group 4 with their parents and Suzanne, Martijn and Laureen  from the Ga4Ghana foundation, had a sober meal served in Hillegom in the Martinus church . In total 108 people where attending this!

During this evening, the Lent, the forty days before Easter, we stopped and thought about the less fortunate people in this world. To demonstrate commitment instead of a regular hot meal a sober rice meal without meat was consumed.

The costs saved by the people by using this the meal in the church, were donated to the "Kindergarten Project" of the Ga4Ghana Foundation. On Sunday, June 6 on the celebration of the return in the Martinus church the Ga4Ghana Foundation will receive a check from this evening and the empty bottles return action.

The team of the Ga4Ghana Foundation is moved by this beautiful initiative and is incredibly grateful for this wonderful action!
